VR Integrative Massage Therapy

Through Bella Esmeralda CE I offer online instruction on integrating VR into the massage therapy space for Massage Therapists world wide. I have taught the course live in Lausanne Switzerland. This course has been approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, therefore it counts towards CE hours for license renewals for LMTs in the United States. Although not in our scope of work, the course covers basics of psychology, physics, aromatherapy, music and colors. The course shows how we, as massage therapists, can provide a space where the client would be able to engage most of their senses in a way that would bring them to align in the present allowing for immersive relaxation.

The course is very professional and very well covered. The references are very relevant and Jessica is completely up to date with her course. It is an excellent work both in the written and visual parts. Bravo!
Savannah Mellioret - Vevey, Switzerland
Well and easily described. Very comprehensive also for beginners. For people with kinesthetic, visual and auditive sense. Very Interesting!
— Iva Nohel - Cugy, Switzerland
I thought the course had some innovative ideas which I could relate to in my teaching career. I also like how there were plenty of theories, research and science supporting holistic therapies. Important background information was given on elements of physics and psychology in relation to the topics covered in the course, and the instructor was very knowledgeable and engaging. She gave the students frequent opportunity to feedback and interact with the content.
— Alex Wood - London, England
The course was very interesting and innovative. The hands-on is challenging since all is a new concept, very promising. Jessica makes sure everyone understands the use of the VR headset.

The approach

What do I do after taking this course?

Create a Vision

By adding a new technique to your practice, this course gives you ideas on how to approach a Virtual Reality setting according to your clients' needs.

What is the plan?

The purpose for our practice in general is to allow the space for clients to disconnect from the everyday stress and help them relax and recharge.

What makes your practice unique?

Every massage therapist is different in personality, energy and time under their belt. Whether the therapists works solo or in a group setting as a team. Adding a Virtual Reality setting to the practice is a relatively new concept that can be implemented upon and evolve.

Re-evaluation

As you continue to grow in your practice with clients and experience it is important to keep in mind our evolution in our practice by asking ourselves and our clients what they like and what or how we could do better. Including in this online learning setting it is very important for your instructor to know what and how you enjoyed the course and what or how the course can be better.
